John R. Molina
Software Engineer
Hi, I'm a software engineer with a B.S. in Computer Science and experience in data management, databases, and full-stack web development.
At Columbia University, I supported a major fundraising campaign through data quality, platform maintenance, and reporting.
I'm currently strengthening my foundation in data structures and algorithms.
Projects
Built preemptive deduplication workflows for admissions cycles at an Ivy League university, scoring records across eight dimensions (name, gender, age, employer, email, address, spouse, degree) to prevent duplicates in a 5M+ record database. Developed PL/SQL views, reports, and BI dashboards, using CSVs and spreadsheets for both automated and manual data review.
Structured study plan built around MIT 6.006, CLRS 4th Edition, and LeetCode. A CS refresher for technical interview preparation.
Single-page reference for a terminal-centric dev environment built around Zsh, Tmux, and Neovim. Documents my dotfiles setup.
Full-stack TypeScript e-commerce platform for home-baked goods. Built with Next.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
Multithreaded chat application built over TCP/IP using Linux sockets. Handles persistent connections, message parsing, and data transmission with JUnit tests.
